This week we're enjoying the fall weather. Living in Illinois you learn to enjoy the nice weather because it's likely to be completely different the next day. Most of the year is too hot or too cold. These in-between times are a treasure.

I love watching the kids play together. They've been chaotic lately so these moments, when they're just having fun with each other are even more precious.

I remember being Kairi's age, jumping in the leaves with my cousins. The piles seemed bigger and softer then.

I'm reminding myself more often to be present. Enjoy the moment. It's a work in progress but it's worth the effort.

I'm getting back on track in my meal planning. I painted this chalkboard and Mike hung it in the kitchen for me. I like it because it keeps me focused instead of waffling and at the last moment saying "oh I forgot about dinner, looks like fast food again" So, this is good both for our rhythm and my waistline.
