Gratitude is an amazing and wonderful thing. It's also something I haven't been focusing on nearly enough lately (especially since my husband was let go from his temp-to-hire position), but since I've realized that I've let my focus slip I've been making tiny efforts to get back into the habit of positive intention and gratitude. Today my friend Kiya let me know about the World Gratitude Gathering, which starts tomorrow and runs for 42 days. I can totally get down with a collective intentional focus on gratitude. What I'm really loving are the 9 Agreements they have posted:
- I agree that a world of Love and Gratitude begins with me. I choose to be a conscious mirror and model of the change I wish to see in the world.
- I agree to consciously set an intention for manifesting something miraculous in my life throughout this process.
- I agree to tap into Gratitude on a daily basis and as much as possible in every waking moment. I know that the rewards of doing so flow through and extend beyond me, strengthening the collective field of Gratitude from which we may all derive benefit.
- I agree to be a consistently uplifting inspiration in all my interactions in World Gratitude. I commit to see and mirror back the greatness of each soul who crosses my path. I choose to discover and nurture the light within so that it may shine forth to others and magnify their life.
- I agree to honor each individual's right to choose their own belief system and life path.
- I agree to be open to both give and receive within this community. In all my dealings, I seek win-win, mutually edifying interactions and transactions.
- I agree to be my word in my exchanges with others. I realize that my personal influence is magnified to the degree I am able to keep my word with myself and others. If something comes up and I decide to change what I had agreed upon, then I agree to make that communication as soon as possible to the affected party.
- I agree to love and enjoy my life as much as possible!
- And, last but certainly not least, I agree to be Grateful for ME!
I really like those.
I'm also going to reintroduce a few of Abraham's processes from Ask and It Is Given
particularly meditation (yea, I know, not strictly an Abe technique lol) , the Placemat Process, lots of Pivoting, probably a magical creation box and of course just lists of what I'm grateful for.
I'm sure for those who don't "follow" methods of utilizing the Laws of Attraction this may all seem silly, that's ok. Best case: these processes and shifts in focus help me to shape my life into what I desire. Worst case: it doesn't, but these processes still make me feel better. So even worst case scenario is an improvement on my current place in life and I certainly can't complain about that! :-)
More posts next week, this weekend is really busy for us. Mike's best friend is getting married on Saturday (Congrats Justin and Bri!) and my sister (who's wedding is in October) has her bridal shower on Sunday. It will be a wonderful weekend, hopefully followed by a wonderful week.
